Lessons Learned (Isle of Mist)
  1. With a story this complicated and such uneven timing between sessions, I usually tried to briefly summarize the last session or high points from it at the very beginning of each new session. It probably would have been worth my time to actually write up a short narrative "Previously on…" that I could post to the wiki and read at the start of each session to give the players a better in, especially to highlight, e.g., important NPCs they were dealing with or past events that might be coming back to influence the current story arc.
  2. Visions ans non-linear storytelling elements like flashbacks take much longer to prepare than I originally assumed they would. I didn't use them as much as I would have liked because of that.
  3. Having my preroll list of NPC names and NPC templates really, really helped for this campaign.
