Trials of the Wormed Conspirators

Handling the Freed/Prisoners

Hawa Travert

Use 1 oz argia and find 2500 gp materials so that priests can build a modified version of one of those Stormwall Heartshields. Put it into Hawa to help control his rages.

Building this item is going to take at least 10 days.

Plan is to tell people that Hawa Travert is dead. Hold trial for Howard Traverton and tell people that he will be imprisoned until the Alignment and then sent Across as his service to the Isle.

Anita Waldemar

General pardon pending community service as an apothecary to repay for her crimes conducted under duress. She might be able to work on whatever High Priest Ignazio of Nerull has been doing, herbalistically. She might be able to be put to work finding useful herbs and reagents Across as well.

Ward and Camilla Berenger

The PCs determined that these two were willing converts to the path of the Usurper and believe that if they set it free they will be rewarded. They were convinced into this by High Priest Ignazio of Nerull. They do know that the Usuper and Nerull are not of the same stock of the rest of the gods.

The PCs have exposed that Ward and Camilla are part of a 110-ish strong cult of "Nerull" (really the Usurper posing as Nerull) on the Island.

The PCs really recommend taking capital punishment off the table, but that's a hell of an ask; Aida suggests they may be able to at least argue for postponement of execution under the rationale that the priests may be able to get more information out of them in the future. The agreement from the justice system is to keep them in confinement with the Stormwall until after the temporal alignment with their execution delayed until after that, tentatively scheduled for the first of next year.

Thomas Berenger

Thomas has already negotiated his pardon, but the Watch are recommending he be held as a material witness until at least after the temporal alignment.

Matthias Medved

The PCs negotiate for a plea arrangement to keep him on Isle for a while and put his burglary skills to use . Tybalt is concerned that sending Matthias to Across might hurt him a little more than it helps, but if he can be guaranteed the chance to return safely and guaranteed a place back on Isle that's more stable after he's paid his recompense, maybe that would be fine. The PCs suggest he be put to use training some of the priests (Olidammarans, perhaps?) in the ways of burglary and defense against burglary. He can also be put to work as a "pack mule" Across to carry Anita's samples back when they go to find reagents.

Jerred Darcy

Put on a lifetime of parole, but allowed to keep augmented Strength (26), Constitution (26), Dexterity (22), and immunity to poison/long-hold of breath. Allowed to remain a masterminer. Turning over all withheld objects and information. Will help seal what he knows about. Will pay a large fine and pay restitution equal to 50% of earnings for 10 years. If parole found to be violated, will have all magic dispelled and will be exiled. Will testify that Esme was falsly evicted from mining.

Tybalt will have the Olidammarans help put some kind of spy network on Jerred before agreeing to this.

David Tapia

The PCs are recommending that he be placed in confinement due to the dangerous magical enchantments on his mind. They're suggesting that priests of Boccob and Olidammara start taking apart those enchantments slowly and carefully.

The actual trial is thus delayed, and he's only going through a hearing to offically place him into protective confinement until such time as his mind can be freed.

Cherise Godo Glass

The PCs suggest that she be tried but mostly pardoned and sent Across with the scouting party as the main portion of her community-service style punishment.

Ivonne Issachar

The PCs have discovered her ability to charm people and REALLY charm them. Maleos, Darias, and Aida were all affected, and they all had to apologize for their behavior (especially Maleos, who suddenly fell madly in love with her having never even seen her).

The PCs recommend, and Bannister agrees, that she be detained in isolation and maintained there until the magical effects on her have been reliably dispelled.

After the PCs' interview with Ivonne, they need to take a few days to get themselves back together and recover themselves. The charm effects hit them all hard, especially Maleos. They take some downtime to recover before continuing with the interviews/interrogations.

Minna Soloman

PCs recommend a similar deal to others who seem to not be a threat - provide a pardon in exchange for community service and similar.

Henrika Foley

The PCs' recommendations are not really necessary here because they discovered she is a sociopath. This will be handled by the normal Isle judicial system for dealing with sociopathic citizens.

Karman Bartos

The PCs determined that Karman is a willing converts to the path of the Usurper and believe that if he sets it free he will be rewarded. The PCs have exposed that he is part of a 110-ish strong cult of "Nerull" (really the Usurper posing as Nerull) on the Island.

Nana Lund

PCs recommend a similar deal to others who seem to not be a threat - provide a pardon in exchange for community service and similar. Due to her wealth, perhaps fines/monetary compensation would be particularly applicable for her.
